Reminiscing

In this picture I'm reminiscing on my life. Since I'm just 10 weeks old, it shouldn't take too long. I'll be done in a minute.

My first restaurant meal

This is me having my first meal in a restaurant. Mommy had to look at the menu, but I already knew what I wanted.

I didn't like the restaurant because, except for Mommy's breasts, there was nothing for me to eat. Maybe next time I'll try Hooters.

Going for a car ride

As you can see, I'm very excited because I'm about to go for a car ride. My excitement didn't last too long because I had to wait (and wait) for Daddy to load up the car, strap me in, run back into the house to get something he forgot, then forget why he ran back into the house. (To see what I looked like after my excitement wore off, click HERE).

My car seat's more comfortable now that I've grown. To see how it fit when I was just a baby, click HERE.

Listening to Daddy

Here's Daddy singing me one of his silly songs. I'm smiling even though I have no idea what he is saying. One day I'll understand everything he's saying. Then I'll move out of the house, just like my brother Andy!

Enthralled by Daddy (after all, I'm just a baby)

I got shot!

Yesterday Mommy took me to the doctor to get 'immunized'. That's grownup talk for "sticking big needles into the arms of defenseless babies". It's supposed to build up my resistance to extreme pain by applying doses of smaller pain to my body.

The doctor was surprised at how brave I was because I didn't cry when he stuck the needle in my arm. I guess I've already been immunized against pain when I got circumcised!

The doctor measured my height and he said I was very TALL for my age ("..in the 90th percentile"). He said I'm as tall as a 4 month old even though I'm only 2. My Daddy thinks this is strange since he's only in the 10th percentile (he's the approximate height of a midget).

I hope one day I meet my real Daddy.

Stomach burbles

In this picture, I'm about to get a 'stomach burble'. Mommy does that to my tummy when I'm naked. I hope she doesn't do that to strangers at swimming pools.

Here you see me waiting in anticipation. Anticipation is best experienced by babies. Grownups find it too nerve-wracking.

Hip, Hip, Hooray

In these pictures I'm playing "Hip, Hip, Hooray" with my Daddy. I like this game because it makes me laugh. Daddy likes it too, because it's easy to learn.

Bubble bath

Here I am taking a bubble bath! I have lots of farts in me so I make my own bubbles. Mommy says I'm just like my Daddy. I'm not sure if that's a good thing.

As you know, I love bathtime. Unfortunately, I've almost outgrown my bath! My parents call it a 'sink', but their vocabulary isn't as good as mine. Pretty soon I'll be taking my baths in the swimming pool in my washroom! (Mommy&Daddy call it a 'bathtub').

The highlight of my day

Yesterday I went for a walk! Since I'm just a baby, this was the highlight of my day. And to make matters worse, I slept right through it! -- In the picture below, you see me sleeping through the highlight of my day.

Today's highlight was another massive poop. After feedback from my fans, I decided not to show a picture.

Pull my finger!

We had friends visit the other day. Instead of shaking their hands, I decided to suck their fingers. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Personally, I like my Daddy's fingers better. When I pull on them, his bum makes a funny sound. Daddy usually blames me for the smell.

Mommy doesn't like when I chew on my fingers.
She never said anything about someone else's fingers.

My Favourite spot

Here I am relaxing on the balcony, looking at the trees. It's my favourite spot in the whole house. I can sit here for hours contemplating life. What is life? Why are we here? Why aren't we there? Why is that camera always in my face?

One day I'll figure it out. In the meantime, I think I'll poop.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Here I am hanging out with Mommy on her Birthday. Today she's 30 years old, but don't tell anyone- it's a SECRET! (Babies aren't very good at keeping secrets; we don't learn how to lie 'til we're older).

I made my Mommy something very special for her birthday. It's wrapped up now, but she'll find it when she changes my diaper.

If you click HERE, you'll see a picture of Mommy when she was a little girl. She looks the same today, only older. And with breasts.

Quiet time

Here's a picture of me with Daddy just before bedtime. Not my bedtime, Daddy's (remember- I only sleep on weekends).

As you can see, we're having 'Quiet time' together. Mommy changed our bedtime rules- no more playing 'too ruff'. Now, instead of wrestling, we snuggle. I like snuggling, except when Daddy doesn't shave all day. Then his face is 'too ruff' (but we won't tell Mommy).

My favourite chair (2nd month)

Remember my favourite chair? Every month, my Daddy takes a picture of me in it. Well, yesterday I turned two months old, so Daddy squeezed me into my birthday pyjamas and plopped me in the chair (top right picture- 3 days old, bottom left- 1 month old, bottom right- 2 months old).

As you can see, the chair keeps getting smaller! And my pyjamas keep getting tighter. Everything around me is shrinking!

My Older Brother

This is my oldest brother Andy (he's the one with the goatee on his chin). Andy's even older than my brother Jason. But the oldest of everybody, is my Daddy- he's over a hundred years old!

As you can see, Andy's arms are very strong. That's because he lifts weights every day. My Mommy's arms are getting strong too because she lifts me everyday. (Actually, 500 times every day).

I'm just a baby, so the only weight I lift is my 20 pound head.

Big Brother is watching. So is mini-me.

Getting dressed. Again.

Here I am getting dressed in the morning. I also get dressed in the afternoon and in the evening. In fact, I get changed every hour, 24 hours a day. All I have to do is make POOP, and my staff comes running. Just like in regular jobs.

I'm especially happy in this picture, because I just had a bath. Unfortunately, I only get baths after massive poops. (I only have a few of these each day).

(If you would like to see one of my massive poops, click HERE.
I highly recommend you don't click)

Sunday morning sleep-ins

I like weekends 'cause I get to sleep-in with Mommy & Daddy. They take turns in bed with me. While sleeping, they try not to roll over and squash me like a bug.

Usually, while one parent sleeps, the other does important things like take pictures of us sleeping. When I grow up, I hope my life is more exciting.

Another exciting week

As you can see from my blog, I'm a very busy baby. I've got lots of things to do, places to go, and people to see. Sometimes there's just not enough hours in the day. That's why I also work nights.

Here I am taking time out from my busy schedule to play with my family. I look a little surprised in this picture because Daddy decided to grab me instead of the camera. Since Mommy is taking the picture, I'm giving her my very best smirk. (Photos on Request)

Wrestling

In this picture I'm wrestling with my Daddy. I usually let him win because grownups like winning. Mommy thinks I play too ruff with Daddy. She says sometimes Daddy doesn't sleep at night because I get him too excited just before bedtime. Daddy says he would sleep better if he wrestled with Mommy instead. That doesn't make sense to me, but hey, I'm just a baby.

Bedtime

Here is a picture of me trying to fall asleep. As you can see, I'm not very good at it (especially at night). Whenever I'm put into my crib, I'm kept awake by my 'fancy new mobile'. It hovers over me like a big scary monster. It must be there to keep me from falling asleep.

Bobblehead

Here's a picture of me lifting my big fat head. It's hard to do 'cause I'm only 7 weeks old, and my head weighs over 20 pounds! When Daddy puts me on my tummy, I try to lift my head so I can see things (besides my drool on the mattress). Babies who do this are called "lerts". I know because whenever I do it, my parents say I'm "a lert".

When my Daddy gets old I'm going to put him on his tummy and take pictures of him trying to lift his head out of his drool.

My Brothers baby pictures

My Daddy found some pictures of my brothers when they were much younger. On the left is my brother Jason hanging around Daddy. Don't worry, he still grew up ok. In the middle is Daddy showing me his finger. On the right is my brother Andy sitting in a bucket of water. I can't wait to try that!

For some reason, my brothers decided to grow up. Personally, I like being a baby. I think I'll stay this way a while longer.

My first picnic

I'm not sure why, but Mommy hasn't been out of the house for a while. Since yesterday was Mother's Day, I decided to treat her to a long walk. Daddy came along too (He's good at 'stroller pushing'). After a while I got hungry and decided to have my first picnic. Mommy packed my favourite meal- breastmilk!

You won't believe this, but I hear grownups drink milk from COWS! Gross!! Just curious- when grownups drink milk, how do they keep the cows from moving?

Happy Mother's Day!

Here I am celebrating my very first Mother's Day! Mommy really liked the present I got me, I mean her. It's a big cuddly animal (see picture). Mommy and I cuddled all morning while Daddy sang us silly songs. I liked the cuddling part.

Hooray, it's the weekend!

I love weekends, I get to sleep-in! On Saturday mornings Mommy brings me into her big bed and tucks me in between her and Daddy. Last week, behind my back, I actually caught them kissing! Don't worry, I put an immediate stop to it! Mommy thanked me afterwards.

Playing "too ruff" with Daddy

Here you see me playing my favourite game "tooruff". I think that's the name of it, because whenever Daddy and I play it, Mommy says we're playing "too ruff". I like it because it makes me laugh and gets me 'wild'. Daddy likes playing too ruff just before bedtime. Then he goes to sleep so I can spend the rest of the night up with Mommy.

Bathing in the sink

Here I am having a quick 'bath'. Actually, I'm just being dunked in the sink to wash my bum. Mommy does that after a huge poop (me, not her). Sometimes, after an especially good bath, I thank Mommy by pooping in the sink (see April 15).

I've got a little advice for people who visit me. If you go to wash your face, maybe you shouldn't use my sink.

You call THAT a bath?

Wednesday 4 May 2005

Daddy's chair

Here I am in Daddy's chair. I'm keeping it warm for him while he gets his camera. Daddy said he'll be back "in a minute". I'm just learning about gravity, but I think it takes less than a minute to fall from a swivel chair to a hard floor! (Daddy's in big trouble when Mommy reads this blog!)

I hope Daddy remembers where he put me. Sometimes he spends days looking for things he put down "for a minute".

Mommy told Daddy to watch me-
I don't think she meant "watch me fall to the floor".

Tuesday 3 May 2005

I want that!

Here I am pointing at something I want. Since I can't talk yet, all I can do is point, grunt or scream. Pointing doesn't seem to be working here. Instead of getting it for me, Daddy decided to take a picture of me (wearing this stupid hat)! I'll try communicating with grunts; Daddy seems to understand that.

If all else fails, I'll scream for Mommy (or as I call her, Mammary). She usually stops my cries by shoving her breast in my mouth.
(note to Daddy- this only works for babies)!

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No- it's a mobile!

Monday 2 May 2005

Clipping my fingernails

In this picture my Mommy's finally clipping my fingernails! She couldn't do it sooner because I move around too much when I'm awake. Since I only sleep for one hour per week, she had to wait until yesterday to cut them (Sunday's my day of rest).

I wouldn't let my Daddy clip my nails because I'd probably wake up and find my fingers missing.

My first smile

Here you see my first real smile (I'm the one on the bottom). My brother Jason's also smiling, but's it's not a real one. He just wants the picture to be over with. You see, he's already had 42 million photos taken of him since he was a baby, while I've only had thousands taken of me (this week). So when my Daddy says smile, I will. Especially when his fly is open.
