Daddy's home!

Guess what? Daddy's home from the hospital! (called the Shouldice Hernia Centre). Not only did they fix his hernia, but they taught him how to walk funny (they call it the 'shouldice shuffle').

I hope he never has to go back, but if he does, I hope he packs this!

Daddy's Hernia

As you know, Daddy's been carrying me on his shoulders since I was a baby. On a related note, Daddy's got a hernia.

*NOTE: Daddy's going to the hospital tomorrow for a hernia operation (he'll be there until thursday). Unfortunately, that means I can't post to my blog 'til he returns (he's my ghostwriter (but don't tell anyone, it's a secret)).

Peek-a-boo

I've been playing peek-a-boo since I was a baby. Now that I've grown, I thought I'd stop playing this silly game. Unfortunately, it's still Daddy's favourite. One day he'll grow up too.

James Bond, 007

I just got back from a secret mission to Montreal! Here I am with two of my bodyguards (here are the others). Also accompanying me were my accomplices 'Mommy' & 'Daddy'.

My Mission: to infiltrate a wedding (disguised as a penguin), mingle with the crowd, grab some wedding cake and escape. Until now, we were on the run in Montreal.

Finally, after a tiring journey home, I can proudly say "Mission Accomplished" [To see a Slide Show of my adventure- Click Here]

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Here I am giving Mommy a kiss on her birthday (sorry Daddy, I'm the new man in her life).

I'm busy in Montreal now, so I can't write too much (I'd like to tell you Mommy's age, but I can't 'cause it's a "secret").

"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you.."

Driving to Montreal today!

I'm driving to Montreal today for my cousin's wedding! (it's his first wife). Getting there should average 6 hours (4 hrs if Daddy drives, 8 hrs if Mommy does). Personally, I think I should drive since I've had the fewest accidents (not including diapers).

My Favourite Chair (26th month)

Here I am bolting from my favourite chair. Daddy wanted some pictures of me sitting still, but I refused; I'm just too busy (however I did pencil him in for next month).

I'm outta here!

A few words from me!

It's been said I'm a man of few words. Here's a sample:

Another day at the park

On sunny days, I like to play at the park near my house. I really like this park 'cause I can do all four of my favourite things - swinging, climbing, sliding and exploring (sometimes I even get to do some disposing).

So much to do, so little time!

The Shaky Bridge

Here I am crossing a very shaky bridge. As far as I know, few kids have ever attempted such a dangerous feat (I had to first climb a chain barrier before reaching the shaky bridge).

(My next challenge?- the red slide or the grey tunnel?)

Jetlag! (part 2)

Apparently I still have jetlag. Either that or a bad case of narcolepsy (these pictures were taken while I was in the middle of playing). The fact is, I liked Japan so much, I decided to stay in their time zone.

P.S. Happy Mother's Day to the world's best Mommy!!

Jetlag!

This picture was taken 10 seconds after I was plopped in my chair. I guess I'm still adjusting to our Time Zone (according to Daddy, we live in the Twilight Zone).

Home at last!

It was a long flight home, but we made it! When I saw Daddy at the airport, I was so happy, I ran down the ramp to greet him. Unfortunately, in all the excitement, Daddy forgot to take a picture. So instead, I'm posting a picture of Mommy and me rolling on the floor.

I must say, my visit to Japan was amazing! I had a great time with Grandma, Grandpa and Great Grandma (a truly Grand vacation). I really miss them now that I'm home. I think they miss me too.

To my family & friends in Japan-
thanks for the memories!

I'm coming home!

That's right, you heard it here first- I'm on my way home! These sunglasses should help disguise me from the mob of fans I expect at the airport (no autographs please.. I can't write yet).

It's a late flight, so I should SLEEP through most of it (NOT). I don't mind flying, but personally, I'd rather take the train.

Watch out Toronto, here I come!

P.S. At least this beats my original disguise!

Breakfast at Great Grandma's

Every morning, Great Grandma makes a big Japanese BREAKFAST (using fresh vegetables from her garden). As soon as we're finished, she starts preparing LUNCH. This is then followed by a large DINNER! (Here's what we eat in a typical day). When I leave Japan, I'm really going to miss Great Grandma.. almost as much as her meals!

When's Lunch?

P.S. Here are some other places we ate in Japan (before Daddy left):

My cousin Mayumi

Here I am with my cousin Mayumi (she's the one on the left). When she was my age, Mommy used to babysit her!

As you can see, she's all grown up now. In fact, that's why she's wearing a Kimono. She's on her way to a Japanese 'Coming of Age' ceremony (seijinshiki).

One day I'll be grown up too. I just hope I don't have to wear a pink Kimono (furisode).

(P.S. Here we are after the ceremony).

Friday 4 May 2007

The playground nearby

While cruising in my stroller the other day, I found a really neat playground (just behind great grandma's house). Mommy says when she was my age she used to play there all the time (30 years ago)! We tried the see-saw, but she was a bit rusty. So was the see-saw!

Hop on Mommy!

Bye Bye Daddy

As you can see from the pictures, I'm very sad. That's because Daddy had to go back to work in Canada (I'll be staying here in Japan for another week).

Below you see me waving bye bye as he drove away (to see my reaction when I realized he was leaving- click here). Oddly enough, Mommy's reaction was very different.

(P.S. here we are before he left)

OHAYO!

Great Grandma was very happy to greet me. Here I am saying "OHAYO" to her (that's "good morning" in Japanese). One day I'll say "good morning" to Mommy & Daddy in English.
