Bathtime in Japan

Baths are very popular in Japan. Actually they're more like swimming pools. Especially to babies. In this picture, Mommy is using me as a flotation device.

As you can see, Grandma is helping too. To see Grandma bathing me when I was only 2 weeks old- Click Here.

I am learning a lot about Japan!

So, people have large bathtubs at home? (like a hot tub?)

The tubs in Japan are a lot deeper than in North America (the Japanese word for bath is 'ofuro'). The water in the tub isn't emptied afterwards. It's simply reheated the next time you bathe (washing is actually done before you step into the tub). In tomorrow's blog you'll see the little green tub I used to wash myself :)
