Another boring day

Today was a painfully boring day. I didn't go for my walk because it was raining outside. Instead, I spent my day staring out the window, watching the grass grow.

My first book

Here's Mommy reading me my first bedtime story. I liked the pictures but didn't understand the words because the book's in Japanese.

Lucky for me Mommy's teaching me Japanese. Now we'll be able to talk about Daddy even when he's in the room. Plus I'll understand everything Mommy says. Maybe Daddy should learn Japanese too.

Baby Contortionist

Daddy thinks I'm a contortionist because I'm so good at bending my body (I can bend my foot to my mouth). I often bend over backwards to watch Mommy cook (see picture below).

My greatest contortion, however, was just a few months ago. I don't think I'll ever attempt it again. I call it "my birth".

BATHTIME! As many of you know, I'm very happy when I take a bath. This makes my Mommy happy, which in turn makes Daddy grab his camera, which makes him happy. I guess bathtime is a win-win situation. Especially for the paparazzi.

Some of you might remember my new habit. I've been bending over backwards trying to break it, without success. Chewing on my toes is just too delicious. I'll stop when they start looking like Daddy's toes.

I'm Standing!

Look Ma, I'm standing! Ok, so I'm leaning. For about 5 seconds (while Daddy took this picture).

Whew! I think I'll sit now. Maybe tomorrow I'll go jogging in my fancy new shoes.

Playing with Mommy

In this picture I'm playing "peek-a-boo" with Mommy. I thought Mommy made this game up but apparently it's been around forever. That sounds like a long time.

Sometimes the first peek-a-boo surprises me, but I love the ones that follow. Like I've said before, it doesn't take much to entertain a baby.

Here I am eating my first solid meal. Ever. At first I didn't know why Mommy was shoving this strange stuff into my mouth. I ate it 'cause Daddy always eats what's shoved into his mouth.

Guess what? I liked it! I'm glad I don't have to floss afterwards.

I was trying to bend over to reach my doggy, but I got stuck! Instead of grabbing me, Daddy decided to grab his camera instead. Wait 'til my psychiatrist here's about this! Or maybe my chiropractor.

Another busy day

Here I am at the end of another busy day. Actually, it's the middle of another busy day. I like to rest up so I have more energy at night to play with Mommy&Daddy.

Squeezed into my Bumbo

Here I am squeezed into my Bumbo seat. It's been shrinking since the day I got it. It's so tight now, I think I'm stuck!

That's my brother's hand you see in the picture. He's trying to turn my head to the camera. I was so busy staring at my fancy new shoes, I didn't notice all the attention. Personally, I'd prefer being left alone with my shoes.

I'm just kidding, I can't even walk yet. Come to think of it, I can't even crawl yet. Oh well, I still like my fancy new shoes.

My favourite chair (5th month)

It's that time of the month again (a photo in my favourite chair)!

Last month Daddy cut my pyjama bottoms because they were scrunching my toes. Well, now they're at my knees! If I don't stop growing soon, my pj's will become rags to wash Daddy's car. I hope I'm not in them when that happens.

Happy Anniversary!

Today is Mommy & Daddy's Anniversary! They've been married for two years now (to each other). I'm really happy they met. This blog would be quite boring if they hadn't.

When I grow up, I hope I find someone just like my Mommy. And if I'm lucky, my kid will be just like me!

He's back!

Daddy's back from Disney World! This is the longest he's been away since I was born! Daddy promised to take me to Disney World when I get older, so I've decided to keep getting older.

Do you like my new Mickey Mouse cap? The ears are even bigger than Daddy's! I also got a t-shirt that says "My Daddy went to Disney World and all I got was this lousy t-shirt". When I grow up, I'm going to get a t-shirt for Daddy that says "My son came to visit me in the nursing home, and all I got was this lousy t-shirt".

Daddy's going away

Daddy's going to Disney World tomorrow with my brothers Andy&Jason! Can you believe it- the grownups are going to Disney World and they're leaving the baby at home! I don't get it. Maybe they think I'm too young to appreciate the experience (although, to be honest, the large smiling rat does creep me out a bit).

Oh well, maybe I'll take some time off too (hey, even babies need a break sometimes). Therefore, I won't be writing in my blog for the next few days. I hope my fans understand.

Visiting Grandma (Bubby Ellen)

Yesterday Mommy&Daddy took me to the cemetary to visit my Bubby Ellen. She died 3 years ago, on this day. I'm really sad I never met her. My brothers grew up knowing Grandma and they say she was amazing.

I know Bubby Ellen is a part of my brothers, but she's a part of me too. In fact, she gave me something really important- her name! ('Evan' comes from 'Ellen'). Now Bubby Ellen will be a part of me forever! I like that.

I wish you were here Grandma.

Mommy's lap

I like sitting on Mommy's lap. It's a lot safer than Daddy's shoulders.

Mommy's always kissing the top of my head. That must explain my bald spot. What's Daddy's reason?

I like sitting on Daddy's shoulders. Except when he hops through doorways.

Hopefully, he won't let go of my arms and let me fall to the hard floor. I hate when that happens.

Happy Birthday Andy!

This is a my big brother Andy (Daddy took this picture when Andy was just a little boy). As you can see Daddy's been a paparazzi for a long time.

Today Andy's 20 years old! Daddy can't believe how old he is. Coincidentally, I'm 20 weeks old. Daddy can't believe how old I am! I bet Daddy can't believe how old he is!

My new car seat

Here I am in my brand new car seat. As you can see I'm very happy because it fits me a lot better than my old car seat. You see, I have this habit of outgrowing things, like clothes and car seats.
